Before you join Truth in Jesus Singles we ask that you review the following Doctrinal Statement. By checking the box "I agree to the Doctrinal Statement" and joining TIJ, you are asserting that you believe the statements below.
You must believe the core Christian doctrine and gospel message, and agree to all statements below:
- God is Triune: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
- Jesus Christ is the God-man, the second person of the Trinity: God the Son who came to save sinners, lived a perfect life, and died on the cross for sinners taking the punishment and wrath of God which we deserve. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day and is alive interceding for the saints.
- Not everyone is saved or going to Heaven. You must be born again and trust alone in Jesus Christ for salvation (saved by faith alone in Christ alone). The evidence that you are saved is that you are growing in conformity to Jesus Christ, fighting personal sins and rejoicing in the forgiveness that Christ offers. First is Justification - saved from God's wrath by being born again by faith in Christ alone. Afterward is Sanctification - being made more like Jesus every day and is only complete the day a Christian dies.
- People who reject the gospel message, live a life of unrepentant sin and ungodliness will not go to Heaven, but suffer the wrath of the Lamb in eternal torment forever and ever.
- A person may be saved on his or her last day, no matter how wicked he or she has been, if he truly trusts in Jesus Christ for forgiveness and realizing that he is a great sinner, but Christ is great Savior.
- God's will for His people and all Christians is to be a member (or if no membership, then plugged in) in at a biblical local church and submitting to its leadership.
- The protestant Bible with 66 books is considered God's word. If a religion or church teaches anything different, that is heresy.
- Mormonism, Catholicism, and Jehovah's Witnesses are not protestant Christian and this is meant to be a dating/courtship site for protestant Christians.
- While individual Roman Catholics who are trusting in the person and work of Christ alone for salvation are true believers, as Protestant Christians we cannot affirm in good conscience that the Roman Catholic Church is, in fact, a Christian church or even a denomination, as the official stance of the Roman Catholic Church regarding justification is not in line with the Bible or the confessions of all Protestant churches.
- Women can not be pastors or elders.
- We at Truth in Jesus believe God’s word clearly teaches that sex is reserved for a man and woman within the context of marriage.
To preserve the integrity of Truth In Jesus (TIJ) we claim that If you join TIJ and it is found that you do not agree with these doctrinal truths, your account will be suspended and you may not be eligible for any refund whatsoever.
